Windows 11
The keyboard RGB on the ASUS ROG Strix G16 G614 is stuck, unresponsive in Armoury Crate, or reverts to a default pattern and ignores custom profiles. The Intel Core i9 13980HX model uses ASUS Aura Sync for per-key RGB, which depends on the ASUS AURA Service running continuously in the background.

Fix 1 — Restart the ASUS Aura Service
- Press Win + R → type services.msc → press Enter
- Scroll to ASUS Aura Service and right-click it
- Click Restart (or Start if it is stopped)
- Open Armoury Crate and test the keyboard RGB controls
Fix 2 — Update Armoury Crate
Open Armoury Crate → Settings (gear icon) → check for software updates. Install any available Armoury Crate or Aura Sync component updates. ASUS regularly releases RGB stack fixes through Armoury Crate update channels.

Fix 3 — Reinstall Armoury Crate with the Uninstall Tool
Download the ASUS Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool from ASUS Support. Run it and tick all components to remove. Restart. Then download and install the latest Armoury Crate package from ASUS Support for ROG Strix G16 G614. This clean reinstall resolves persistent RGB profile and service conflicts.
Fix 4 — Check ASUS System Control Interface
Device Manager → System devices → look for ASUS System Control Interface v3. If it shows a yellow warning, reinstall the ASUS System Control Interface driver from ASUS Support. This driver is required for Aura Sync to communicate with the keyboard controller.
