Windows 11
The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED UX3402 does not enter sleep mode, or wakes immediately after sleeping. The Intel Core Ultra 5 125H uses Modern Standby and a background process keeping the CPU active is often the cause. The laptop stays on, draining battery and running warm overnight.

Fix 1 — Run powercfg /requests to Find the Blocker
Open PowerShell as admin and run: powercfg /requests. Any entry under SYSTEM, DISPLAY, or AWAYMODE indicates a running process is preventing sleep. Close the listed app or stop the service to allow sleep to engage.
Fix 2 — Disable Wake Timers
Search Power Options → Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings. Expand Sleep → Allow wake timers → set both On battery and Plugged in to Disable. This stops scheduled tasks and apps from waking the device.

Fix 3 — Disable USB Device Wake
In Device Manager, expand Human Interface Devices and USB section. For each mouse, keyboard, or hub entry, open Properties → Power Management → uncheck “Allow this device to wake the computer.”
Fix 4 — Update ASUS System Control Interface Driver
Download the ASUS System Control Interface V3 driver from ASUS Support for Zenbook 14 OLED UX3402. This driver manages power state transitions and an outdated version can cause sleep to fail on the Intel Core Ultra platform.
“Running powercfg /requests revealed my antivirus was holding a SYSTEM wake lock. Disabling real-time scan fixed the sleep issue on my Zenbook 14 OLED.” — Hasrul, Kota Kinabalu
